Hello everyone! Over recent weeks, I’ve realised that many people are enthusiastic about visiting YHA hostels but can not decide which locations to visit. So I’ve selected three of my favourite YHA hostels that offer a wide variety of activities to everyone.

  1. YHA Edmndbyers and Langdon Beck, Durham: The picturesque landscape of Durham and its surroundings are too much to resist, and these two hostels will allow visitors to experience this beautiful landscape to the fullest. The High Force waterfall offers a 21m drop and is at the heart of beautiful British woodland that’s a hotspot for walks, which gives the chance to see deer and rabbits. Alternatively, the coast of Durham is similarly stunning whilst also close to Castle Eden Dene, a site of Special Scientific Intrest and National Nature Reserve.

  1. YHA Saint Davids, Pembrokeshire: Named after the nation’s patron saint, YHA Saint Davids is situated at a beauty point of the British landscape. It is near Barafundle Bay, the most beautiful coast in Britain according to the Good Holiday Guide, whilst also boasting sane dunes which will attract the inner ecologist in you.

  1. YHA Swanage, Dorset: the Dorset coat is one of the most treasured destinations in the entirety of the UK, and the hostel in Swanage is a fantastic location to stay. It's less than half an hour away from Hyde Heath, where you can find all six of the UK’s reptilian species: The adder, the slowworm, the grass snake, the common lizard, the smooth snake and the sand lizard. Or you could just simply indulge yourself with the serenity of the countryside.

And that’s a wrap. Which locations are your favourite? Personally, it's hard for me to rank one over the other but YHA Saint Davids certainly entices me for this summer. Be sure to share your thoughts with me at @yhaprop on twitter.com.

Bye!
